Brianna Lofton, 20, helped the child inhale the marijuana from a blunt, according to an arrest warrant.
“I was totally flabbergasted over the simple fact that I saw that baby smoking,” Raleigh neighbor Sean Price told WNCN. “The bad thing about it is I’ve seen that baby, said hi to the baby, touched that baby, because I have a little daughter of my own, so I interacted with her.”
Raleigh cops were flooded with calls and messages about the video. The department said in a Facebook post that they “appreciate the public’s help in this matter.”
Lofton was being held on charges of child abuse, marijuana possession and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The video was recorded sometime between Dec. 1 and Jan. 31, according arrest warrants obtained by WNCN. Lofton was still being held on $100,000 bond in the Wake County Detention Center, according to the station.
“She seemed like a regular good girl. I never expected that. Totally I never expected that coming from her,” Price told the station.
The baby is in the care of Wake County Child Protective Services, according to WNCN.
