“Teen Mom OG” stars Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer Edwards are expecting their first child together.
The happy couple’s news was revealed in a preview for an upcoming episode of the popular MTV series, where Mackenzie, 21, was seen celebrating a positive pregnancy test with a producer.
This will be the first child for the pair, who eloped last May, though both are no strangers to being parents.
The birth of Ryan’s 9-year-old son Bentley with fellow “Teen Mom OG” star Maci Bookout was chronicled on an early episode of “16 & Pregnant,” while Mackenzie shares son Hudson, 4, with ex Zachary Stephens.
The couple have made no secret of their plans for expanding the family, and have discussed a third child in recent episodes of “Teen Mom.”
Still, the road to parenthood hasn’t been easy for the couple, as Ryan, 30, completed a stint in rehab shortly after he and Mackenzie eloped in May.
The reality star was filmed driving en route to his elopement visibly under the influence in an episode that aired in June.
The scene — which featured Ryan dozing off behind the wheel and swerving as Mackenzie sat in her wedding dress — sparked massive backlash and prompted a statement from Edwards revealing he’d since been to rehab.
“I am back home now and doing well, and life could not be better,” he said.
The couple exchanged vows in a wedding ceremony in a church in November.
